Stefano Ricci will inaugurate the XVI Volvo Fashion Week in Moscow at Gostiny Dvor, an 18th century architectural masterpiece near the Kremlin and Red Square.
The luxury menswear manufacturer, who totally produces in Italy, will debut with his first exclusive fashion show in Russia, invited as a special guest by the designer Valentin Yudashkin and the High Fashion and Prêt-à-porter Association.
In front of an audience of three thousand international guests, Stefano Ricci will present his collection, 100% Made in Italy, which faithfully reflects the quality and craftsmanship of an exclusive haute couture production, designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, since 1972.
Stefano Ricci signed an agreement of Main Sponsorship also for the second edition of “Uniques Special Ones”, an event that joins the interest for vintage cars with that for extraordinary luxury articles.
The event will be held in Florence and, for that reason, it will make possible to host certain moments of the event both in his flagship store in Palazzo Tornabuoni and in the recently acquired Antico Setificio Fiorentino, that preserves values of a textile tradition since 1786.
“It is a pleasure, but mostly an honour for me to be again a part of ‘Uniques’ in my city of origin, together with excellent partners”, stated Stefano Ricci. “Creativity, design and the art of hand-making are elements that have always characterized our work and have constructed the history of our company”.
From 1927 to 1957 the Mille Miglia had been a legendary race of speed, where the major automotive companies, for the occasion, also gave birth to unique models. The great personalities of the moment, entrepreneurs, kings, nobles and artists, were the protagonists of an event that united sport and glamour.
Now as in the past, in its reawakening, each year worldliness and style characterize and unite the 375 drivers and co-drivers in an exclusive manner. This Mille Miglia will be the first edition of the "Stefano Ricci Gentlemen Drivers Trophy". A special style award, dedicated to clothing, accessories and the individual style of the crews.
“Every classic car represents a specific moment of our society – Stefano Ricci says – like fashion. This award will be a real tribute to the contemporary style between the crews and the historic timeframe in which their vehicles were constructed”.
